Vermont STEM Women Connects Professionals

POSTED on September 6, 2012

Vermont STEM Women is a group started by Bill Church and Krista Conley to connect professionals in Vermont currently working in Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management. We recently had our second meeting at Das Bierhaus in Burlington.

Here is a brief update on the discussion and next steps. From the first meeting and echoed in this second meeting, participants would like the group to focus on:

  • Professional Development
  • Mentoring and Internships
  • Financing
  • Growth, Job Creation
  • Entrepreneurship

In the interest of developing strong local support, as well as learning from role models in New England and beyond, we will be meeting monthly to invest the time to get to know each other and our goals. By January 2012, we aim to have a mission statement.

We plan to meet on third Thursdays in September, October, November and December 2012, and have a CEO speaker.

If you are interested in becoming involved or learning more about the group, please email Elizabeth Bernier.
